My Story

I would like to introduce myself, I am Marilyn Wilson Price. I have Post-Traumatic Fibromyalgia which developed from a back injury on the job. I have made a website from scratch, which originated as an information letter for other patients at the physical therapy clinic I attended. I was a guinea pig for their program working with fibromyalgia patients. I was asked to relay what I had learned to other patients. Voila!! The bright idea came to me one day that I must start a website with health information:

www.fitnessbymarilyn.com

What better way is there to reach a lot of people!

It hasn't been easy for me, because if I spend too much time on the computer, I have a fibromyalgia flare up.

Well, I have come a long way and I am still learning everyday! My goal now is to share with those who are just starting out. Please check out my collections and feel free to contact me if I may be of further assistance.

Sorry, I have been away a while

Well I have remarried and relocated to the Texas Hill Country. This has not been an easy move for me. I am also making a lot of changes in my life which should be much for the better. I have missed contacting you. I am trying to update my profile but it is not taking my info for some reason. Perhaps I will be able to soon.

We Lost My Son

Since I have been in contact, my oldest son in Dallas had a massive heart attack and died. You just don't expect to outlive your kids. This also has caused my pain to be worse at this time. Plus I had to go to Dallas and there has been much stress and lots to do.

Ready For Spring

Having recently moved to the Texas Hill Country, I am having a bad time. It gets much colder here and that causes my pain to be worse. I also have not been exercising like I was before. Last week I went down to the coast to do some cleaning and packing of my things to bring back with me. That was a killer for my pain but the climate was mush warmer and nicer. I would have felt much better except that I overdid myself lifting things and carrying them down stairs. I had planned to wait until someo… Continue

I Recommend: Exercise! Exercise! Exercise! Water Therapy is wonderful plus I received great benefit from Pilates. It really rehabilitated me. It is also nice to find a doctor who has fibro himself. I lucked on to one and there are many books written by doctors who have fibro. They do a lot more research if they have fibro themselves. Some of them work in university hospitals and can also put you in touch with programs to help with financial aid as well.

Marilyn,
Welcome to the community. I created this project while participating in a Landmark Education leadership program. Part of the program is to create a project that benefits the community. My wife was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few years ago and our lives were changed forever. When I had the opportunity to create a project that would make a difference I naturally thought of my wife and her struggles. This projecet is important to me and I want to see it grow and help others. Please let me know what I can do to help you and the community.
