i have not been officially diagnosed with fybromyalgia yet,but with the symptoms i am getting eg:severe fatigue, aching in the upper back ,shoulders, pain in the pelvic area, fuzzy head.My own doctor has refered me to a rheumatolgist who i will see on the 26th of june so hopefully he will be able to bring some light on my symptoms.I am also a type 1 diabetic and have been for 37 yrs now ,ive herd that fybromyalgia can be common in people with diabetes is this true?
thanks for the welcome too.
There are no meds for fib. And pain killers work no more. I had 800ml of ibrufen and that still does not work. Now I just don't bother with that stuff, just push the pain to the back of my mind for as long as I can.
Other treatment I had was a pijn managment curses, that was for 6 months. Basicaly it was to learn how to "get a long with-live with pain".
May be for you that works, but not me. I can hardly do the housework or even clean myself after I've been to the loo. Getting into a car and putting the seat belt on is sometimes almost not possible, my husband helps me with it. Doing all the simple things in life that most take for granted is just not possible any more, for me .
