Busy afternoon. Bhavana has been off since about mid November. She has been in more pain than usual. The pain had gotten so bad that she was throwing up. Today we got her an appointment with her holistic doctor,
Wendy King, PhD, APN, in her Somerset, NJ office. We were there for almost two hours but Dr. King believes that a few shot that Bhavana had at the beginning of November, plus the change in weather ( where knew that barometric pressure could affect health…

Bhavana has been wracked by major pain for the last few days. Last night she woke me in tears and all I could do was gently take her hand and wait. I don't know what to do. I feel completely useless. Today I offered to drive her to her physical therapy session but she refused and canceled. She thinks the increased pain is due to her menses. She recently changed birth control pills because the previous one had side effects.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving and my wife and my family were over at my home. As usual we had too much food and too much work. Bhavana (my wife), over did it with cleaning and helping my mom create meal items for my side of the family ( I am from the West Indies and Bhavana is from India ).
Today she is in bed, racked with pain ( and probably some regret ). She got up just a few minutes ago and stumbled over to the door and called to me. She needed her pain medication. She popped a handful of pills…

it may take me a little bit to feel my way around in here.
I cannot imagine having someone around who cared as much as you do about your wife. It is rare and she is very lucky! My ex divorced me over this illness. He just thought I was crazy and a hypochondriac and now my sons are just as bad. They all just refuse to accept the reality of it. My mother had it as well, and was treated the same. She died with everyone and all her doctors thinking she was just a complainer. It is very hard having no support at all. NO help, no health care, no job, no nothing. A lot of us have lost everything because of all this. Those of you who are helping someone with this need to be ommended.

Thank you. It is nice to meet people that know what you go through with when you have Fibro. My Aunt has had it for years and we talk a lots together then a friend at Church has
just found out she has it. Thanks Again.
God Bless.
-Making the "You'Re Not Alone" box more prominent, perhaps #1 spot in the middle column.
-I would remove the gadgets component (for now), until there are more gadgets that you can apply to the network.
-I would make the Photos more prominent (middle column) and closer to the top. It will bring in a LOT of the human touch that you need to have in the network.
-Members are probably better located on the left column, closer to the top.
-Activity: reducing the number of recent items to show, and perhaps moved to the left.
-Blog posts, moved to the middle, at about the same level.
-Forum, moved up and adding a few more "recent comments" to display.
-Groups: same column, but a bit further down.
Things to clarify:
-The Wholeness feed is not completely clear as to what it is about and how it relates to fibro.
Besides this, I would say it's a LOT about continuing to get the word out about the network: YouTube, Yahoo! Answers, etc.
Hope this helps, my friend!
